DESCRIPTION:

‘Remembering’ Workshop - Friday, Oct 25, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Consider the gaze you turn inward: How do you see yourself?

What aspects of your being are you eager to connect with more deeply?

October’s Yuja Soul workshop is focused on accessing the energies of the back body—drawing from past events, ancestral wisdom, and the deep knowledge that resides within us to reconnect with our innate power.

The challenges we face on both individual and collective journeys are continuous invitations to remember who we truly are, and meet ourselves with grace. This dedicated space is an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves through a lens of clarity and self-compassion, using movement, breath, and grounding practices to access the parts of ourselves that have always been there.

This workshop will incorporate mindfulness journaling and visualization, followed by somatic experiencing and movement. Our yoga asana practice will focus on strengthening the physicality and energetics backline of the body and shoulder complex to support a  gentle progression to backbends and opening to deeper self-expansion. We'll close with restorative postures, a body scan, and a final rest to integrate the experience.

This dedicated, brave and tender space for all Black Women is open to all practice levels.

Please bring a journal and pen. Mats and props will be provided to support your practice and rest.

The pricing options to join are self-determined based on where you see yourself reflected. To join this dedicated space, select one of the tiers available (community, standard or supporter) that best suits you.

‘Soft Landing’ Workshop - Friday Nov 8, 6:30pm-8:30pm

A movement and self-inquiry workshop for all Black Women, for all practice levels.

Election season has been a whirlwind of information to process, pulls to leadership, choice, and dreaming for ourselves and the broader collective.

Welcome to a soft landing for ease, restoration, processing and community, especially for Black Women and Femmes who historically are called to the forefronts and foundations of liberation movements.

This workshop is designed to help restore and nourish your body and heart through journaling, Somatics, Yoga Asana to support grounding and centering, and rest in Yoga Nidra, while held by themes of community, belonging, and care.

Open to all practice levels and hearts, this offering invites everyone to find solace and connection.

Welcome to your space to pause, reflect and be with the abundance you are seeking. And welcome to the lunation of 2024’s last Full Moon.
